This program has been a tradition in Lancaster for over 60 years and continues to grow in serving over 300 children, boys & girls, through 6th grade. The league is dedicated to providing the best and safest athletic experience to as many children as possible by fostering morals, family values, sportsmanship, teamwork and respect, while teaching the rules and regulations of football. Each team has a dedicated group of volunteer coaches that have the experience and knowledge to teach the game of football to new and veteran players.

Youth Flag Football & Cheerleading

We also offer Youth Flag Football in the Spring & Fall. We use this as a learning tool to keep players interested in football in the off season and teach younger players the fundamentals that they will be able to use when they become of age for the football league.

Cheerleading is offered for boys and girls in grades Pre-K to 6th grade. Cheerleading is offered during the fall and they will cheer for tackle football games during the team game they are on.

The 5th Quarter:

One of the most unique things about our league is the 5th quarter. The 5th quarter is played immediately after the regular game ends. All younger, less experienced players play 10 minutes of offense and 10 minutes of defense. Coaches are on the field during the 5th quarter to provide guidance and most importantly to assure safety. The 5th quarter was implemented to provide a safe game situation for the less experienced players. Not all players develop at the same pace regardless of what grade they are in. The 5th Quarter is a great tool to help all players develop at their own pace. No player is ever forced into situations that they do not feel comfortable with or is not ready for. The 5th quarter promotes self-confidence, game experience and player development within a heavily controlled and monitored environment.

The Draft:

If this is your player’s first year, they will be invited into the draft where all the coaches run a practice and evaluate your players skill level. The coaches then meet and assign new players to their new teams. The coaches reach out to the parents and let them know which team your player is on as well as when and where they will practice. New players are not permitted to request certain teams.

Schedule:

All games are played at Miller Park. Games are held on Tuesdays and Saturday and begin in August.
